Jonathan R. WoolstonFriday, October 18, 2002 EWA BEACH, Hawaii - Jonathan Rogers Woolston, 38, died Monday at St. Francis Medical Center in Ewa. Mr. Woolston graduated from Princeton (N.J.) High School in 1982 and the University of Rochester (N.Y.) in 1986 with a degree in statistics. He was active in track and served as captain at both schools. He was an Eagle Scout from Troop 88 in Princeton and an athlete who enjoyed scuba diving, motorcycling and water-skiing. He was a member of Hickam Water Skiers Club. Following his stint as an NROTC student at Rochester, he joined the Navy Submarine Service in Hawaii, where he served aboard the USS Birmingham. He left the military as a lieutenant in 1994. Mr. Woolston was a senior analyst with Summit Research Corp., working on contract to the Navy at Pearl Harbor Submarine Base. He is survived by his wife, Amy Speckman Woolston; a son, Timothy J.R. Woolston; a stepdaughter, Kailtin Kahn; his parents, Rogers and Lorraine Potent Woolston of Princeton; a brother and sister-in-law, Japhet P. and Zoe C. Woolston of Hawaii; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cynthia and Andrew Maltenfort and Gail and Bruce Wilkinson of Virginia; a sister-in-law, Beth Speckman of California; and other relatives. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2370 B. Nuuanu Ave., Honolulu, HI 96817. Arrangements are by Moanalua Mortuary, Honolulu. |
